New Flexible Schedules at Dermacademy

A photo of the esthetics class schedules available to students once they hit the clinic floor

Y’all spoke, we listened.

This industry is all about flexibility. Whether you’re squeezing in a brow wax at 8 pm, opening the studio at 6 am, or handling a midday “life‑happens” emergency, nobody becomes an esthetician to punch a 9‑to‑5 cubicle card. So we blew up our old 40‑hour grind and rebuilt a schedule system that actually acts like 2025.

We now have TEN new possible schedule options. Need Monday off? Sure thing, we have 4 options for a schedule that allows that. Want to just grind school 3 days in a row and otherwise have a 4 day weekend EVERY weekend? Yep. Got that too. Do you work at a restaurant while you’re putting yourself through school? That’s cool, we got a schedule that gets you out early enough for that evening shift and leaves your most busy days, the weekend, wide open.

Let’s knock out the two major questions you probably have:

1) How long is the Dermacademy esthetician program?

Full-Time Track: just 15 weeks start to finish (5 weeks of theory, 10 weeks of clinical)

Part-Time Track: 30 weeks with 20 hours a week (15 in person, 5 online)

2) Are the classes day, night, or weekend?

We got a mix of it all. Scroll a sec, I bet we got something for ya.

I implore you to take a look at all the options, but let me kinda break it down a bit more for you what we were aiming to achieve with these.

How it starts:

Everybody—no matter which of the ten tracks you pick—spends the first five weeks together: Monday–Friday, 8:30 am–3:00 pm. This knocks out the bookwork: skin sciences, electricity & machines (yeah, currents), sanitation, client safety, all the not‑so‑Instagrammable stuff that keeps the state board happy.

What’s after that?

But! Once you’re done with the theory portion of the course, it opens up A LOT. The clinical practice portion of the course allows for a lot more flexibility – just like you’ll see when you’re working in the industry as an esthetician.  We have made ten separate schedules, each with variants where one could come in earlier or later in the week, with weekends off or plowing through the required course hours on the weekend. A lot of options for esthetics on the weekend, nights, days, everything!

Some schedules are a bit more rigid, like Schedule E, which has a simple Monday through Friday 8-3 with Saturday and Sunday off. When we put schedules like this, it’s for the people who want the structure or for the mom who maybe needs to get to their kid that needs to get picked up after school and have a weekend open for extra curricular activities.

Then there’s schedules like Schedule G, which says, “Hey please just let me grind for 3 days straight and get the schooling over with so I can go make money or go to the beach.

No two Dermacademy students have the same life. So we built a model that lets you work, nap, rock PTO, or chase kiddos and still clock clinic hours.

No matter how you cut it, we genuinely think we have found a solution for most people. We can have you into our school and learning with top-notch education, graduated and certified for esthetics in just 15 weeks.
